Responsible for managing and coordinating an efficient operation for staffing the needs and assuring quality patient care for Recovery Center and Behavioral Health Units. This position requires maintaining the units in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines and regulations. Responsible for medical record review to determine regulatory compliance. Works in collaboration with Program Directors and Nursing Manager to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, NYS OASAS and NYS DOH regulations. Advises Nurse Manager and Directors of medical, clinical, and nursing staff of findings on a regular basis. Responsible for staff education to ensure ongoing compliance of policy and procedures.
BSN required. Minimum of 3 years experience in a Behavioral Health or Recovery nursing. Experience in quality/compliance and nursing education preferred. BLS. Applicable substance abuse training preferred. Computer skills preferred: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience and skill in effective teaching and evaluation techniques; ability to compile and analyze data.
